Junior High Pastor

My name is Christopher Lopez and I'm 30 years old.  My wife's name is Carla and we have two beautiful children, Cai and Cielo. I've been at Calvary Downey since I was six years old.  I didn't really commit my life to the Lord until I was 16.  Since then I have had a personal relationship with Jesus.  I am absolutely certain that without the grace of God over my life I am nothing.  Without Him there is no me.  I am a sinner saved by grace and defined by the cross.  His Word is my guide and His Spirit leads me.  He is my rock, my shield, my salvation and the author of my life.  He has created me and is still working in and through me.  I love laughter and I believe it's from the Lord.  I am passionate about seeing broken people fixed by the blood of the Lamb of God.  I love Jesus because he died and rose for me.  When I close my eyes here on earth for the last time I know that I'm going to see the one Whom my soul longs for and loves.  My favorite scripture is:

"If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit.  Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life." - 2 Corinthians 5:13-14
